Blunt Pretzels is a production bakery and beer garden during the day and a community arts and event space at night. We host family friendly pingpong tournaments on Tuesdays, singer/songwriter open mic on Thursdays, Blues dance night on Sundays, solo performances on Fridays, and a maker/workshop series on Wednesdays, currently with a focus on electronic music, looping, Ableton , and always open to any other platform or instrument.
This year, we would like to see more visual art exhibitions, spoken work and story telling, live music and electronic events. Old Asheville may remember our space as Scorpio House or the venue of the first Full Moon Gathering that celebrates its twentieth anniversary this year. Remember, Downtown Swannanoa has no sound ordinance and plenty of parking.
